1800 alternator conversion 1964 wiring 1800

I just completed a alternator conversion on my Triumph TR3 and would like to perform the same conversion on my 1964 1800. I've done some searches on this subject, but haven't found a post that describes the complete conversion. Type of alternator, single wire conversion, which color wires to disconnect or splice together, etc. If anyone could direct me a site on this or describe in detail, I'd greatly appreciate it. I understand you need to make/buy a special bracket for this conversion, does anyone know of a distributor of these brackets. Thanks
