Camshaft/Intermediate/crankshaft alignment [Timing belt question] 200 1989

1989 240 B230F

I'm changing the timing belt. I aligned the crankshaft notch with the '0' on the lower belt cover. Both the Camshaft and intermediate shaft are 180 degrees off from their respective notches.

In order to adjust the gears, do I remove the belt and do each one individually so that they line up with their marks, or do I leave the belt on (under tension) and turn the camshaft 'til it (and the others line up (at the same time)?
