Taillights - aftermarket or OEM? 200 1993

Good morning, guys (as good as a cold-ass Monday morning can be)

Two days ago a guy in a Dodge Dakota backed into my '93 and busted out the taillight and smashed up the trim piece below. That seems to be the extent of the damage. He gave me his info. but asked me not to contact his insurance company, he'd rather pay out of pocket. Well, since he seemed like an honest guy I gave him that chance and figured I'd even try to save him money by doing the work myself. I priced out an OEM taillight, trim piece, and shipping costs at FCP and called him. He agreed, said he'd mail the money and even threw in some extra for my trouble. Honest guy.

Anyway, I notice that the unbusted taillight is an aftermarket "ALVO" "Made in Estonia" version. If I get a brand new Volvo taillight, I'm afraid it won't match the older aftermarket one perfectly. Thoughts?

What I'm more worried about is that trim piece - if I buy a brand new one, there's no way it's going to match the 14 year old rubber still left on the car, is it?

Opinions?
