MORE 745 NO START WEIRDNESS - ROUND 6 1/2 700 1992

Well, I found by taking off the boot from the computer connector that the connector was numbered and I found and measured 13 to 5 on a 2oK ohm scale.

Came back with a reading of 7.95 K ohms.. It's about 35 F outside, this seems to be high impedance based on the temperature relative readings on the FAQ page.

I put the connector back on and then cranked the car over and it started. I am going to let it warm up for a while then go measure the resistance again to see what I have for ohms across 13 to 5.

Are the values on the FAQs valid enough to determine if the ECT is sending a bogus impedance to the computer for a no start condition ?

I will take more readings to see if the NTC changes and eventually falls into the values near the ones in the FAQs...

I may have a faulty connection somewhere at the jack/plug to the computer. Or the ECT could actually be bad -

Do you guys have a Bosch or Volvo part number for the ECT handy ? Mine is a 1992 B230F with a Regina FI system.

Thanks !

'Cuz
