off topic question 200

Hi, I've noticed a fair amount of BB's own Chevy's and I have a question concerning transmissions. Specifically the 4L60E trans. I have a 99 astro extended van w/4.3. After sitting in stop and go traffic for a short while the trans developed what is called a "bump" between 1st & 2nd. It felt like I had been rear ended. Like someone had installed a shift kit while I was sleeping. Well, after much searching it appears the problem originates from wear in the valve body causing the computer to increase line pressure resulting in the hard shift. Okay, now for the question, has anyone here experienced this and repaired or replaced the valve body with positive results?
Much Thanks,
Steve
