One wire alternator 140-160

Swapping in a SEV alternator and regulator on my 68 144 over it current generator. It had the ear on the block so mounting it wasn't an issue. Wiring seems straight forward after doing a bit of research.

Just wondering. For those that went to what I read as a one wire alternator with internal regulator. Do you just attach the lead that was on the B+ terminal to the new alternator and you are done? That is the wire that runs back to the lead on the starter. In such a setup can you not support the lead that goes to the amp light?
