Clicking when braking low speed S90-V90

I have noticed a clicking noise, like a ball peen hammer tapping a thin piece of metal, when braking at speeds less than 10MPH. It's most prevalent when backing out of a parking space, but also if you need to brake after moving forward. I have R/R'ed most everything in the front end - Volvo control arms, ball joints, Volvo struts (they stink by the way), sway bar bushings, rotors, calipers, pads..... everything except hub and bearings and sway bar links, which seem to be OK.
What are your thoughts? I think the noise comes from the front end, but who knows, maybe it's the rear. Thanks as always Volvo friends,
John
