Antenna replacement 900 1993

I bought a new mast for my sedan and can't figure out how to replace it without taking the antenna completely apart. I thought I read somewhere on the board that this is supposed to be a quick change out.
How? I bought the mast from FCP. I thought pull the old one and feed the new nylon in etc. Can't get old one out without taking the trunk apart and the complete antenna assembly.
Please advise.
