Check engine light postmortem 200

Interesting story!

Did you clear the codes/reset the ECU after swapping the AMM (but before replacing the ECU)? I'm curious because I had the same codes with a bad AMM. Swapped in a good AMM, reset the ECU, life has been good (in that department) since.

LH 2.4 seems to be able to acclimate fairly significantly to an individual AMM, so if the original one was bad, the ECU wouldn't "know" that you swapped things, and it might have been running on the same "curve" for the previous AMM... but with the "new" AMM... (this could be the most confusing sentence I have ever typed!)

Does the original AMM work with the new ECU?

Either way, the pink -561's definitely have a reputation for getting niggly, so the -951 was a wise preventative swap regardless.

Thanks for the closure, glad it's fixed!

-Ryan (Pink -561 still in the '90, with a -951 doing wonders for me on the shelf...)
