960 Auto Trans Problem 900 1992

I'm working on a 1992 960 Wgn. that seems to have a problem shifting- the owners have had a number of shops check the car out with no sucess. Their complaint is that the car will sometimes die when coming to a stop, and they say that it has also stalled out when driving on the hiway. The husband told me that he could put the car into neutral while still rolling and re-start it. I test drove the car (just a short one) and found out that the trans was "hunting" between gears- first gear was OK, then it seemed to want to go back and forth between the next couple of gears. It also would kind of shudder when letting off the throttle to slow down. When the car stalled, the check engine light would come on, and when they took in to have it turned off, the first time it showed code # 113,241,&223- the next time they had it the shop, it was# 113. The tech wanted to replace three injectors, and if that didn't solve the prob. then he would do the other three($525P/L each time).

I don't think it has anything to do with the injectors at all, but my experience with the electronically controlled transmissions is very limited,so if anybody can give me any info I'd really appreciate it.
