front fender hood replacement - rear shock - electrical issue 700 1987

My sons 87 760 wagon has s minor ding in the front right fender and the hood. I found a same color 88 740 in junk yard that will cost me $125 for both fender and hood, I pull. Is this an easy swap? Do I have to pull the headlight or will the fender come off and new one fit on the frame. Hood looks very straight forward.

Just finished new front shocks and ball joints and improved ride (even if they were monroes). Wonder if rear is a good idea too? Rear seem like they jolt when going over rough roads. There are many choices on rear - thinking about the cheapie monroes at $19 each.

Headlights on the 760 do not work when starting in cold weather. The flasher light display on the dash comes on and sometimes the bank of warning lights light up below the speedometer. The tach and speedometer also don't register when the headlights are turned on when starting the vehicle in cold weather.

Suggestions ideas?

Suggestions welcome on shocks and body work. thanks
