Low annual mileage makes it hard to justify replacing the points with an electronic ignition. You can replace about 50 sets of points for the cost of the points eliminator.

I've got the Crane XR700 unit on my car but it was on the car when I got it. If it had come with points I probably would find a Pertronix points eliminator; it is all but invisible.
