Few problems/questions about 92 740t wagon 700 1992

I recently purchased a 92 740 turbo wagon. This is my 3rd volvo and I love the car. It has a few minor problems I am looking for some input on. 1. The cruise control, will engage, the car will accelerate approx 3-4mph then it cuts off, I understand this might be vacumn related?? 2. The ac is in need of a charge I know, but when the car is at idle say sitting at a light and the ac is engaged the idle will then drop and become sporadic, the turbo gauge will also move some, any ideas?? Finally what trans fluid is okay, it is an automatic, i'm assuming dexron III. Thanks in advance
