16V 740 sedan, fix or part? 700 1990

Hi all,
My local recycler has a 1990 740 sedan in that hasn't been touched yet. It is a 16v with 200K and nice leather seats, good door pockets, clean. The timing cover and belt is off. The guy says that the PO started the belt swap and had the wrong belt and never finished it. He is not totally confident it is the truth however. He said he paid $550 for it and wants to make $50, so the whole car is $600. I do want the seats and door pockets and a few other bits. I am driving an 89 745 now sow many parts are useful. Is a 200K 16V worth fixing? $600 seems fair to me as the car seems to have been well taken care of. Any ideas?
