Volvo 1800 wheel options (from a Jeep Cherokee) 1800

Someone kind of addressed this general question in a post from January, but maybe mine is different enough to be relevant. Does anyone have an opinion (and I'm sure you do!!!)if 7" is too wide to go on a '69 1800 (w/4,5 bolt pattern? Will it stress the suspension, or bearings, or? I was at the boneyard and saw a set of alloy wheels from a Jeep which I thought would look pretty fine on my car. They were 15", 4.5 bolts, and suitably dished, I didn't measure the exact offset, but it looked to be in the ballpark (3", no?) Anyway, opinions solicited, both technical and aesthetic.
