5 speed tranny from a late 240 (into a '68 220?) 120-130

In my local boneyard there's a late (1989+) 240, with a 5 speed transmission. Is this something I should grab with an eye to using it in s one of my earlier , pre- 1972 cars? I have access to a really good welder who is into interesting conversions, so grafting bell housings isn't a big issue. I could also save it for a rainy day, or when and if I decide to put a B-23 into the old war horse. B-18/20s are good engines, but a bit loud at freeway speeds, no? I'd like to actually hear my CD player!
