Oil Question S90-V90

H Poolman,

The volume of VI (Viscosity Improvers) in synthetic oils is signifcantly less than in dino oils because the synthetics are inherently more stable. That being said, M1 comes in a 15W-50 and I have used it (mixed) with M1 10W-30 before to give me more viscosity when 5 & 10W40 M1 wan't available and had no ill effects. M1 with M1 is compatible.

You could try mixing 3 qts of M1 15W50 with 3 qts. of M1 5W40 and see how that works for you.
