radio problems 200 1987

hi:
1987 245 w/factory cass stereo. car sat 6 months. radio worked fine before sitting. battery went dead and was changed out. now, sometimes radio works fine, sometimes dead, sometimes just ignition noise, sometimes some lights in radio work but not always. flashing lights in radio and appears to be scanning other times. i didn't see anything in the data base that appears to fit. thoughts? the static sounds like no antenna but sometimes its great, and the antenna shouldn't impact the sometimes totally dead radio. thanks.
