Speedo got me in trouble 200

I got pulled over doing 70 in a 50 zone last week. I told the officer I was doing 60 he didn't believe me though. I had the Volvo tested and sure enough the readout is off by 10 MPH at 60. Off even more if you go faster. But only off by 5 MPH under 55. I have origional rims but i have 185-70-14 tires. That should only add about 3 mph. What gives?Any ideas for the correction. Please don't say tape new numbers on the speedo. My 16 year old hates this car enough. Too bad for him as it will probably save his skin some day. Jay
