Fuel Pressure Regulator 200 1989

I am replacing my fuel pressure regulator with one from a junker. When I pulled the one off the junked one at the junkyard, a fair amount of gasoline came out of the hoses and the regulator itself. I would prefer to avoid spilling gas agian when I pull the one off my car. Anyone got a good solution for this?

Thanks in advance for any help received!
