240 Oil pan needed 200

Did you try a new washer? I am pretty sure they are copper crush washers that are supposed to be replaced every time you remove the plug. Mind you I have always reused the washer without problems. It would be a lot cheaper and easier than changing the oil pan.

I think you can also get the drain hole rethreaded if the threads really are damaged. Changing the oil pan is a project I would avoid if at all possible. Not a fun job with the engine in the car.
