vw tdi in a 122 120-130

[EDIT]: Sorry for the double post, I should have posted to the 120-130 forum originally. My Bad.

Hello good people of the illustrious Volvo community,

I've been thinking about doing this conversion for a few months now. I have a semi-retired '67 122 wagon waiting for me to pour my affection and money into it. Been hearing a lot of people talking about this conversion, but has anyone actually tried it yet? Looking at pictures of these well established engines they look a little tall to fit under the hood of an old Volvo from the 60's. But hey, at 90HP and over 40MPG stock I'd certainly be willing to give it a try. Can you say "hood scoop"? Just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with this conversion or/and has any words of wisdom to offer..

Many thanks and keep rollin'!

V.
