removal of intake to change head gasket '94' 940

I read some past threads that suggest I can take the intake loose and just ease it away from the head and then pull the head. Also, would you recommend that I unbolt the lower timing belt sprocket and leave the one on the cam alone therefore pulling the cover up with the head (back of cover I mean). Some of you guys might think this one is slightly over my head and your probably right. I think it is too but I am bound and determined to do this job.
