Quoted below. Thank you Charlie!

Last time I removed the intank fuel pump I had a hard time getting the ring lose using a long screwdriver and a hammer(not a smart way) to unlock it.I had to do it agian today but found a tool that I use alot at my job. It's a garbage disposal rench.Thay cost about $8.00.It has a T handle 9 inches long and a U shape end 4 inches wide.Worked great and with a little grease on the new O ring when locking it in.Thought I would pass it on since the tool can be bought at most hardware stores. And if your garbage disposal is jammed thats the tool for the job.One tool 2 jobs.
