ANSWER console light at shifter 900 1997

Hello, Torqs 25 and remove the console lid, you don't have to remove it, but I have broken the lower console 4 times because I didn't and I remove first thing now. Remove the ash tray. Remove the rear ashtray. Remove the back panel for the ashtray, two tabs on bottom that need to be pulled up and the panel out. Remove the cover inside the console, pry it up with a screw driver, remove the two screws. Remove the small panel below the e-brake two more screws under it. remove both panels from under steering wheel and under glove compartment. Remove the 5/16 bolt or the torqs 25 screw on each side lower corner of console. Remove the thin clip in front under ashtray. Slide the center console back a bit and remove wire from mode selector switch. slide it back as far as it will go and pull up lightly. the bulb will pull out of the housing. The new bulb has the base and bulb all in one. Push the new bulb in the socket and reverse steps. Pauli
