Please say I just need to replace the feul filter! 900 1995

I bought my 1995 Volvo 960 in January. We had it checked out by a mechanic friend of our who we knew would tell us if there was something wrong with it.

He said everything seemed to be working great.

So we bought it.

About two months after I bought the car it started acting funny.

I was at a complete stop at a light when I stepped on the gas to go the car had a hard time excoriating it felt like it wasn't getting any gas, it kind of bumps and slowly picks up speed. After it gets above 20 or 25 mils per hour it moved just fine.

It seems to get worse or more frequent if the car is low on gas or it's a hot day.

Some days I can be driving around all day and not even have a hint that there's a problem. Then other days it seems like I can't turn a corner with out it acting up.

What does it sound like the problem is? How much do you think it will cost?

Please tell me that the fuel filter just needs to be replaced.

Shylah
