Brake Pad Compounds? 120-130

Anyone experimented with different compound for brake pads?

The recent post about boosters affecting braking got me thinking about this again as this is something I have considered trying.

I seem to remember the Grassroots Motorsports 122 used a couple different compounds and it also seems that Classic Motorsports also uses non-OEM pads regularly.

Wondering how much this would affect braking performance/feel. Or if they would just chew up my rotors. I have a spare set from the parts car so rotors aren't exactly considered Unobtainium but no sense in wasting my parts.

If anyone has a suggestion for alternative compounds please post.

Thanks,

-Mario E.
