Engine Blocks & Bell Housings 200

Can anyone tell me if an M-47 II off an '87 240 with the B230F Engine will bolt up to an '80 240 with a B21F? I have ALL the parts off the '87 from the Pilot Bearing to the Rear Axle Flange and everything in between.

When did Volvo make the Block change?

I think the B18 and B20 and were the same push rod cam Block.

I also think the B21 and B23/B230/B234 were the same Over Head Valve Block. Seems to me the B21 was bored, stroked or both to get the B23.

Can someone help?

I need the facts.

Thanks - Rhaj
