Old chrome side view mirrors on an 88' 245? 200

I have a couple of chrome side view mirrors off a 1979 240 that I would love to install onto my 88' 245. My 88' currently has the stock manually adjusting mirrors. The chrome ones have a chrome arm that is attached (by a pivot point)to a black metal piece. The black metal piece is cylinder shaped and has a cap at the end of it with a allen bolt.
My questions are:

1. Will these even fit onto my car.

2. Will I need any other parts, such as the triangular plates that the mirrors are attached to on the older 240's?

I’m assuming that when I pull the current mirrors off that these plates are not under there and that I will have to find them some ware. Thank you all!!!
