The IPD kit uses good steel for the replacement "holes", wheras other fixes are sometimes of cheaper metal/aluminum.
Also, the clips are a poor design, so I cut small pieces of double-sided carpet tape (good tape with a foam core) and stuck it to the replacement holes, cut a small slit in it, and then peeled of the other side before snapping the panel back on the clips.
It holds well and doesn't rattle (yet)

Some preventive 'maintenance' helps as well. Close the tailgate GENTLY, and press it closed, it doesn't need to be slammed shut....
