Hi:

I'm planning an engine swap to my P1800. I have a 760 turbo engine with moderate mileage and a new turbo.
Has anyone out there done this conversion?
I don't really want to put a SBFord into the car, but are there any other suggestions before I begin the process?
The main advantage of the 760 engine is that it's a known quantity. I don't want to put a really heavy lump into the car because the steering in 1800s is already a tad heavy.
That said, this is the time to ask the question of those more knowledgeable than I. If there's any other engine that would make a *fantastic* performing car --that you know from experience (not fantasy, if you please) I'd love to hear from you.
I've been away from Volvos and the Volvo-dedicated clubs for awhile, so I've lost touch with that group of people. There was a Canadian named Joe Derks who had done this kind of conversion, or something similar to his 1800 back in the mid 90's. Anyone know how to contact him? Or anyone else with this kind of expertise?
