Finally removed the plastic hinge which caused the gas door to fell off. I should have just drilled the four plastic pins of the hinge off from outside to remove it. But that's hind sight. I removed the felt panel inside the car to get to the pins of the hinge to push them out. Needless to say I destroyed a couple of plastic fasteners for the stiff felt panel.

The plastic hinge is available from most mail order houses, which I ordered. Where do I get those pesky plastic fasteners for the felt panel?
