The guys have covered the repair pretty well. If you want to replace the
fiberboard inside the upholstery panel, it is a tedious, but not too difficult
job. The two main problems are getting the 1/8" staples for your staple gun
and getting the 1/8" tempered masonite to make the new one out of. Otherwise
it is pretty straightforward and will yield a much neater-looking door.
