142 engine swap- V6? 140-160

after looking tirelessly for the last year and a half for a nice B230ft and manual tranny in New England I am ready to give up, or already have, as I am wirting this peice. Having always been a volvo purist, but a speed-addict(I have run my 74' 142 at 140mph)with mixed emotions I have started to look at a 4.3L supercharged Chevy conversion, with drivetrain and rear. I have not been able to find anyone that has done a 140-v6 swap and wonder if anyone knows of a precedent. I was talking to a fellow volvo lover in Sweden, and despite the radical engine work there the shortage of American power usually prohibits such projects. Hope to hear from you all.

As an aside, I am having trouble with the sunroof, the nylon skid foot is broken and, having noticed that the crank is the same one used from the 140 to the 940, I wonder if the later cars have similar interior workings?
