i had the same trouble on 92 wagon. the bracket on the transmission to the header pipe was rusted thru.

at that point the header pipe goes from two pipes to one and there is a small space between the 2 pipes.

a good solid cheap fix to support the head back to the tranny mount is find a j bolt at the hardware store about the same diameter as the space between the header pipes. 1/4 or 3/8 is i think max.

then hook the j at the tranny mount and let the bolt part slide between the pipes. make a steel or metal plate to support the 2 header pipes and drill a hole in the middle for the j bolt to pass thru.

now secure this with a self locking nut and tighten. u now have for 2 dollars more support for the header pipe than just the 3 header to manifold nuts.
