Peppier after battery disconnect / fuse 6 removal 200 1990

Quick question - 1990 245 w/248k miles, 933 ecu and auto transmission. Basically, I've noticed the past few times that I've pulled the battery connection briefly to fix something that the car is notable peppier afterward for a while while the ECU remaps itself. The OBD isn't throwing any codes at last check about a month ago. Mileage is right at 20mpg around town - haven't been out of town for a significant drive since changing over to summer tires last month. Cap and rotor new, recent plug wires and ~1yo plugs

This just a sign of a tiny air leak? Tiring O2 sensor? Some small defect that isn't throwing a code and will eventually sort itself out?
