Groten control arms

I think we will find that they are the German Meyle, not to be confused with Mahle, brand. In my experience Meyle products are no more than OK on a good day. Not to say that they are crap by any means but they are not OE stuff and will not give you the performance or longevity you expect from a factory part. Mahle on the other hand is the OE manufacturer for a few different things for many of your European car lines, most notably being Mahle pistons and filters.

To answer your question, yes I usually put a little Silglyde on the bushings before I press them in. It is nothing more than a good quality silicone grease, I used simple white lithium grease for years with no problems either. The important thing is to grease it up with something that will not attack the bushing
