Broken bolt - HELP! 200

One of the bolts on the water pump broke during removal. Then the bolt extractor broke inside the drilled out bolt. I'm drilling, & drilling, & drilling, & it's going REAL slow. I'm looking for suggestions on different type of bits to use, 1/8 in. diam., as the titanium Sears bits are ok, but don't seem to make much headway.
Other option: has anyone had success using gasket goo on a water pump in place of a broken bolt? I fear the torque & vibration will shortly pop the area loose, leaking, then back to the drilling scene. But it did come to mind after hours of little success on the drilling. Many thanks in advance.
