S90 Airbox S90-V90 1998

Group:
How can I tell if the thermostat in the airbox is working?
I am doing trailer towing in the summer and really do not want to have exhaust pipe heated air going into the AMM.

In my old 240 series I only had to take the filter out and look at it.
I cannot see it in the S90. The 240 thermostats used to typically fail in the hot air position.

Currently, I have pulled the hot air hose off the airbox, but it may still be running from underhood air.

I don't know how to get the airbox out. Seems to be no room.
Think I could see it with a mirror?

Thanks,
-- S' V'
