P0172 Trouble Code 900 1997

Got a MIL yesterday; read it out today on my PC program as a: "P0172 System too Rich (bank 1)"

From my OBD-II encode table it says: "Long term fuel trim, part load, Long term fuel trim, idling"

The table indicated an upper limit signal covered by a Volvo-DTC of either "EFI-231" or "EFI-232."

I reset the codes and will watch for another MIL to appear.

Does anyone know what components could cause this? In thinking ignition, air and fuel: The plugs were changed 2k miles ago; the air filter has been replaced. The fuel injectors have not been touched. Do you think that the 6-1/2% ethanol gasoline here in California could cause this? I have run the car on regular for 80k miles now with no problems.
