Airbox mod 200 1982

Thread where I detailed my mod.

Yes. I cut out most of the front of my airbox. Has worked out well.
Car is louder though, any time you step on the gas.

Amargill of this board recently posted pics of a similar mod; he drilled a bunch of holes in the front of his airbox.

This modification is possible because the airbox is directly behind the a/c condenser and not behind the radiator. If your a/c is working that will warm the incoming air, a bad idea. We haven't had working a/c in any of our 240s for several years so for me its not an issue.
