The Code From Hell 900

Hi, I had the same symptoms as yourself. The only other symptom was when i came to a standstill to park, when the gear lever was put into park the revs would rise to about 1100 then return to an uneven 900. It happened everytime. My Volvo garage could not book me in for 3 weeks to repair it and they told me to disconnect the battery for half an hour or overnight. Apparently the "whatever it is" resets itself. Yes this worked and it was like driving normal for about 20 miles then off we go again with the engine stumbling and no performance. Then eventually Volvo repaired it and they found it was both 02 sensors. All the symptoms had gone and also the revs climbing when put in park. I understand the 1995 960 has one sensor at least it will be cheaper than replacing two! BUT use the Volvo one with the long lead and proper connector. Regards
