Blowing fuses when shifting into reverse 200

The #12 fuse is for the reversing lamps, power window relay, AC blower and heated rear window relay. When we shift into reverse the fuse blows out violently. A large flash comes from the fuse bulkhead when the cover is off and the fuse is blown immediately. Has anyone had a similar experience and can you give me some hints where to start looking for the short? I guess it must be in the reverse switch or the backup lamps.
