740 turbo stall/start problem and other questions.

If you have the CBV that is mounted on the side of the head, the diaphram could be bad.
1. Yes
2. No, normally overboost switch is above the drivers feet
3. Held shut until the adjust limit is reached, then opens.
4. Waste gate would have no control, so it would flap open all the time
5. Waste gate held closed at rest. Disconnect the arm, it should retract a little into the actuator. Make a mark on the arm. Then reconnect the distance should be between .2-.6mm for stock boost, around 7-8psi. Lengthening the rod decreases boost and vice versa. Normally one turn of the sleeve is around 0.4psi. If you can apply 7psi to the actuator, then it should be neither too tight or loose connecting to the arm. But you really need to inspect all turbo hoses, especially the turbo intake hose. Any softness, cracks, etc.
