B230FT + mods + lots of boost / M47 = ... 200

Yes, it was sort of expected, but it still catches you by suprise. The mods have been stacking up on my '93 245 classic Turbo, and last Friday the motor (with some fresh Megasquirt tuning tweaks) was finally apparently a bit too much for the M47 to handle (no dyno yet, but it's ~probably~ around 250 - 270 hp). Full throttle, 22 psi in third gear and *bam* grunch*freewheel*. Third gear was magically transformed into what sounds like a healthy shovelful of gravel inside the transmission. However, like a good Volvo, 1,2, 4, and 5 kept on working fine, and the car was able to make it back home under it's own power. Although it occasionally made some nasty noises.

Next up: A T5 Mustang transmission swap! Possibly another M47 for the interim while I round up all the parts and pieces necessary to put the T5 in.
