Rebuilt engine starting problems!? Help Please. 120-130

Turn the engine so the timing marks show 0 degrees, Top Dead Center. Check that both rocker arms on #1 cylinder have slack in them -- if not, turn the engine 360 degrees so there is slack. You can just reach through the oil filler hole to do this.

Remove the distributor cap. The rotor should be pointing where the #1 plug wire terminal on the cap would be. There should be a little hash mark on the distributor body directly under the rotor.
