camshaft carrier oil leak 900 1992

92 960 24V. Hi, I have an oil leak coming from the between the the camshaft carrier and valve cover on my B6304f. My question is ,if I lift the valve cover to clean and re seal the join, will it disturb the cam and will I then have to re time the engine. Other then sealant will I disturb any other gaskets, O rings etc. Any advice and tips most appreciated. Thanks.
