ATS (Air Temperature Sensor) 900

Hi all,

I had a problem with my ATS in the past - it threw a check engine light. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, cleared the codes and all was well. My car has been running fine but I just decided to look at the ATS. I unplugged the ATS while the engine was running and found no difference in the way it ran. No change in idle - not even a surge. Is this normal? Sounds like I'm looking for a problem but I just want to make sure everything is working ok since I would think having the ATS disconnected would cause a change.

Thanks
