All Brakes Locking on. - HELP. 700 1990

This has happened three times over the last 12 months. Once for the previous owner which is why I got the car at a good price and twice to me.
Scenario. Hot day, slow moving (some stop/start)traffic with lots of repeated though light brake applications. Pedal eventually goes firm and the brakes lock on. Stand for 10 minutes or so OR crack bleed nipple on master cylinder brakes release and evrything normal until next time. I know one other owner who had this problem. He changed the master cylinder and that appeared to solve it though he sauid he'd hadn't been out in any warm weather since. My thoughts(two) are 1) adjustment of the brake pedal linkage thereby not allowing the servo valve to fully release holding the brakes on (I had this on another car once) - I would expect this to occur at other times though. 2) Heat soak due to the proximity of the master cylinder to the turbo - the heat shield is in place, especially as this has only happende on hot days. This could be a faulty m/c though again I'd expect problems at other times. PS Should add as I live in UK the car is RHD - LHD master cylinder isn't next to turbo!
