make sure 200 1993

that the vin number on the dashboard drivers side matches the plate on the passengers side wheel well mount under the hood.

check your title on this car as well.

it is possible the accident rendered the car a salvage vehicle rather than a clear title and it is also possible but not as likely that plates from an earlier year volvo wagon were switched to create a vehicle with a clear title.

i have seen this done in my years in the car and salvage business.

anyway, go in suspicious and compare data from different places to find and overt discrepancies. the repair to this car may have included and entire front clip with engine which is why the decode reveals and engine from a much earlier production run. the front clip would have contained the plate on the passengers wheel well under the hood.

this car night be what we used to call a sausage. made from this and that part all squeezed together into an outer casing.
